To improve the socioeconomic conditions and living standards of the people and to increase employment and income generating opportunities, especially for women and youth, Shyamsundar Child and Women Development Society is presently working on skill training and income-generating opportunities for marginalized women and youths.
Shyamsundar Child and Women Development Society planned to address this concern by “upgrading the skills training system into a comprehensive, integrated and efficient training system incorporating the establishment of skills standards and certification as well as income-generating activities for women.
The Livelihoods Initiative contributes towards strengthening livelihood opportunities of small and marginal farmers, landless labourers and empowering women’s nonfarm enterprises to benefit from markets. Shyamsundar Child and Women Development Society focuses on strengthening partner community’s organizational capabilities and enables them to evolve strategies for livelihood enhancement. Shyamsundar Child and Women Development Society approach for this purpose include developing organizational and mutual collaboration of people having common livelihoods needs and interests and come up with effective models of cooperation for livelihood enhancement at local level.
